2019 Memory Making
Bibles Beyond Borders
A terrific group of ladies hosted a fundraising event at Harrington House to raise financing for Bibles Beyond Borders that definitely went down in the memory banks for all involved and attending.
The evening involved individual table auctions of items donated by the guests, and the competition and hilarity which ensued was great entertainment. Added to this, the hilarious MC Mary Stewart, entertained the ladies with a number of side-splitting acts.
Each guest left with a gold balloon on which was written one inspirational word.
A truly great evening for a wonderful cause!
Celtic Wedding Memory
The lovely Sarah Brock married Duncan Fryer on a memory-filled misty May day in a Celtic themed wedding.
She was escorted to the ceremony by her sons who were dressed in kilts, and a kilted bagpipe player directed them in. Seeing the four of them emerge through the ‘Highlands’ mist to the strains of the bagpipes, was a goosebump rendering and romantic moment that will not be forgotten.
Winter Wedding Memory
Greg Dowsett and Tessa Morris arriving at their reception on a freezing July day is a happy memory for all.
The arrival of the bride and groom definitely shines in our memory with such beautiful smiles. The bride in her cosy fur stole won hearts and the vibrant happiness of the picture. Together with the four roaring fires and sherry on arrival, bring back happy memories of this day.
40th Birthday Celebration
The 40th birthday celebration for Heather Macfarlane, combining childhood magic and memories with a new decade, was held under our Magic Faraway Chestnut Tree. This happy memory took the form of a champagne brunch.
The event took place under our gorgeous chestnut tree with low hanging branches and enchanting setting. The tree was decorated with bunting and the food set out under its low hanging canopy. Champagne memories of a very happy morning were made and a coffee caravan kept the energy levels high!
‘Around the World’ Party
NCT held their ‘Around The World’ themed, year-end party at Harrington House.
Our wine cellar featured as France, which was the most popular ‘country’ all night with a never-ending stream of guests keen to pair wine and chocolate whilst feasting on baguettes and delicious cheeses.
The outside chestnut tree festooned with lights as Customs. Here they served Springbok liqueurs and fashioned a boat from bamboo and cable ties.
Some of the NCT staff arrived dressed in cultural outfits. All attending entered into the spirit of the season and there were some innovative costumes.
‘Birds of a Feather’ Party
A ‘Birds of a Feather’ themed 40th definitely made some added fun of ticking into another decade.
The ladies were the very life and soul of a memory-making festive party that went on into the early hours of the morning.
Christmas in Winter Memory
Harcourts’ held a Christmas in Winter party with an Afrika Burn theme.
It was a wonderful lunch with everyone getting into the spirit and putting in much effort to dress up and look the part.
The party continued on the porch around Harrington House, with cocktail tables and a warming fire going in our brazier to keep the chill at bay while the sun began setting.
High Tea themed Kitchen tea
A Kitchen Tea with a difference. This themed party was a High Tea Kitchen Tea.
This memory includes an extremely gifted group of ladies who paid such attention to decor; with the lovely detail in the table settings and eats at this sumptuous High Tea that was literally fit for the Queen!
Summer loving Wedding
What memory stood out for us was what a wonderful family this was.
From the bride and groom being so relaxed about proceedings and very appreciative; to the hard-working family who threw themselves into ensuring each detail was perfect for Banele and Khaye.
The affection of this couple to the wonderfully positive and loving speeches; created special memories on this momentous day at Harrington House.
